The serious but fun approach about learning the art of photography; attend workshops, The Santa Fé Photographic Workshop; Rocky Mountain School of Photography; enroll in a college course, Photography 101; seek out amateur or professional photographers who will share their tips; and join your local camera club. Soon, you realize you are a part of the photography village, a group dedicated to pursuing the fine art of photography.
As your photo passion develops, you will discover that every day is a great day for photography, and if you are searching for the light and the path to better images, this blog may help you. Never forget to look up when you're shooting, and most importantly, turn around and look behind you!
If you have comments and tips, please share them with us, if you do not want credit, just make a note.
A quote for you: At some point someone is going to ask, "Hey, what’s your favorite photograph?" You may want to use Imogen Cunningham's quick reply, "Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I’m going to take tomorrow".

If you need a 1:1 magnification ratio + Hybrid Image Stabilization, the macro covers the bases. The lens is sharp, and the excellent image quality serves well as a portrait lens.
If you visit the portfolio, FLORA, at janiemcrae.com please compare the first 11 flower images shot with this Macro100mm to the images that follow shot with the Canon 70-300mm. You decide.
